During my two months interning for Acceler8 Training, I assisted in the curation of their social media strategy with a B2B perspective. I partook in various responsibilities including research, analysis, creative input and scheduling. The main goal of the project was to develop a campaign for their LinkedIn account and overall increase their user engagement.

01 The Problem

The company felt as though their social media strategy was not structured well enough and they wanted to see more user engagement. In addition, they wanted to decrease the amount of informal posts while also still maintaining a playful and authentic persona to highlight their value of humanising the workplace.

02 Planning & Research

In order to kick start the project we began with a company analysis which essentially allowed us to understand what we wanted to keep and change about their social media presence. One of the key challenges we had to face was to be able to balance a playful and fun attitude without compromising on professionalism. Next, we established a series of goals that we wanted to reach after the initial launch, and then we conducted research and analysis to strengthen our strategy. Finally, we were able to start planning the type of content we wanted to produce. We eventually created a content library in which the team could pull out ready-made content to post whenever needed.

Buyer Persona Profiles

Even though Acceler8's marketing strategy is normally B2B, we recognised that it is important to appeal to the individuals behind those businesses. Therefore to find out what content we should be producing, we created buyer persona profiles that represented the people and roles that the content should be targeting. By using these profiles, we were able to pin a face to our target audience and approach a B2B strategy with a B2C attitude.

03 Final Outcome

Although it was challenging to conduct vigorous research, it felt really accomplishing to be able to bring it to life. I took on the task of sketching up ideas for the infographics and with the help of the lead designer, we were able to design content that was not only engaging but also positions the company to be industry experts

04 A Closer Look

With the help of the lead designer, I was able to curate these infographics for Acceler8's LinkedIn account. Through experimenting with the company's new brand colours and fonts, I could effortlessly reflect the playfulness in the design and copywriting. The team was delighted with the overall design and decided to continue using this template.

05 Reflection

My time at Acceler8 Training has not only offered me to grow professionally but also personally. It was a transformative experience that let me takeaway the value of a close-knit workplace and an amazing insight into different businesses through their extensive clientele. The team has taught me the importance of curiosity, adaptability and courage to take on new opportunities. I previously thought that I achieved more by working independently, but through this role I learned that I also thrive in a collaborative environment. This project significantly improved my problem-solving skills and my ability to implement solutions based on analytics and research.
